| Beschreibung (dt.): | Das Projekt hat zum Ziel, das Einnetzen von Obstkulturen als technische Lösung in der Praxis weiter zu verbreiten, um Befall durch die Kirschessigfliege, Drosophila suzukii, zu vermeiden bzw. stark einzuschränken. Mit dieser recht teuren Methode kann der Einsatz von Insektiziden gegen diesen Schaderreger reduziert werden. Das Vorhaben greift Hauptziele des Nationalen Aktionsplans für die nachhaltige Verwendung von Pflanzenschutzmitteln (NAP) auf, der am 10. April 2013 gemäß § 4 des Pflanzenschutzgesetzes von der Bundesregierung beschlossen wurde. Diese sind Maßnahmen zur Entwicklung und Förderung von Innovationen im integrierten Pflanzenschutz und zur Entwicklung, Untersuchung und Erprobung nichtchemischer Pflanzenschutzverfahren. Desweiteren zielt der NAP auf die Einführung neuer Technologien in die Praxis und beinhaltet die Demonstration neuer Verfahren. |
| Beschreibung (engl.): | The projects aims to spread the use of exclusion netting for fruit crops as technical solution to prevent, delay or reduce infestations due to the Spotted Wing Drosophila (SWD), Drosophila suzukii. This technical but rather expensive solution contributes to the reduction of the use of insecticides against this pest. The project conforms to main objectives of the German National Action Plan on Sustainable use of Plant Protection Products, adopted by the German government on April the 10th, 2013 pursuant to § 4 of the Plant Protection Act. These are measures to develop and enhance innovations in integrated plant protection and to develop, investigate and prove non chemical plant protection methods. The NAP, in addition targets at the introduction of new technologies into agricultural practice and includes the demonstration of new techniques. The project supports fruit growers in several fruit producing regions of Germany, who have already installed nets against SWD, especially in cherries, raspberries, blackberries and remontant strawberries in the application of this technique. The netting systems will be validated by monitoring the occurrence of SWD flies and assessing infestation in fruit samples. The microclimate in the netted crops will be measured and compared to open field conditions. In addition, observations on diseases and secondary pests will be carried out. Investment and maintenance costs, labor input, crop yield and quality are further parameters to be assessed with questionnaires for an economic evaluation. The project will allow to identify factors, which are essential to achieve maximum efficacy of the technique in diverse fruit crops under given locational factors. The fruit growing farms will serve as multiplicators for this technique. The gained knowledge will be spread to other growers by open days in the participating farms, in seminars, lectures and national and international publications. |
