| Beschreibung (dt.): | Zielstellung des Vorhabens FoodLoop ist die Entwicklung eines innovativen Konzepts zur Kreislaufführung von Reststoffen der Lebensmittelverarbeitung zurück in die Lebensmittelprimärproduktion in Form von hochwertigen Eiweißfuttermitteln für Geflügelstarter und Ferkel. Hierdurch soll eine Reduzierung von Entsorgungskosten und eine Verbesserung der Nachhaltigkeit der Produktionsprozesse erzielt werden. Aus Reststoffen und Nebenströmen der Lebensmittelproduktion soll mit Hilfe der industriellen Insektenzucht hochwertiges Insektenprotein gewonnen werden. Diese stellen einen vielversprechenden Rohstoff für die Mischfutterherstellung für Nutztiere dar. Die Herausforderung besteht darin, die technischen Prozesse der Insektenzucht an wechselnde Reststoffe aus der Lebensmittelindustrie mit kurzer Haltbarkeit anzupassen. Forschungsbedarf besteht bei der Materiallagerung, Vorbehandlung und Prozessoptimierung sowie bei der Entwicklung und Markteinführung von hochwertigen insektenproteinhaltigen Nutztierfuttermitteln. |
| Beschreibung (engl.): | The aim of the FoodLoop project is to develop an innovative concept for recycling residual materials from food processing back into primary food production in the form of high-quality protein feed for poultry starters and piglets. The aim is to reduce disposal costs and improve the sustainability of production processes. High-quality insect protein is to be obtained from residues and by-products of food production with the help of industrial insect breeding. These represent a promising raw material for the production of compound feed for livestock. The challenge is to adapt the technical processes of insect breeding to changing residues from the food industry with a short shelf life. There is a need for research into material storage, pre-treatment and process optimisation as well as the development and market launch of high-quality insect protein containing animal feed. |
