Biofuels reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 84 percent

With over 3.5 million tonnes of biofuels in the quota year 2018, the industry used six percent more biofuels in Germany than in the year before. The use of biofuels avoided 9.5 million tonnes of CO2 equivalent. The average total reduction in greenhouse gas emissions thus amounts to 83.8 percent. Red List updated: About 71 percent of indigenous farm animal breeds are endangered - Topic: Biological Diversity

The Federal Office for Agriculture and Food has published the Red List of endangered farm animal breeds for 2018. Presently, 55 out of the 77 indigenous farm breeds of the equine, bovine, porcine, and caprine species have been identified as being at risk.
